https://www.flipkart.com/maggi-masala-instant-noodles-70-g/p/itmevdngeeq597pd   My review goes for "Maggi 2 Minute noodles".  It is my entire family's all-time favorite instant snack, though we don't have it on a regular basis. I have been having it since my childhood, and it has been passed on to my daughters who enjoy them equally. The addition of vegetables adds nutrients to the noodles. The tastemaker packet included in this pack is the real gem of the noodles, as besides being mild still adds a savory flavor to the noodles. You need to just follow the instructions on the packet with the variations of adding vegetables. I prefer making it soupy rather than making it dry, that way I can just slurp it. It satisfies your hunger in a short period when you do not have a lot of time preparing it.  If you try once, you will keep on adding it to your grocery list. Too much consumption of instant food is not good for your health, but you can always have it ...

Food of personal/cultural significance

Today, as I was teaching the authentic way of preparing Fish curry to my daughter, it made me nostalgic. I sunk into the memories of cooking fish curry along with my mom. Since both of my parents belong to Goa- a coastal state of India where the staple food is rice, coconut, and fish, major recipes are prepared using coconut and coconut oil. I have grown up eating a variety of fishes dry as well as fresh, and have learned the art of cleaning fish. This authentic fish curry holds a special place in my heart. I have inherited the authentic way of preparing Fish curry from my mom where she used to grate freshly picked coconut and grind them along with a few cloves of garlic, chili powder, onion, salt, gently adding pieces of fish to the boiling curry, the aroma of which lingers even today, bringing with it memories where Mom used to serve me first with freshly cooked rice and fish curry, the memory of which makes me drool. I see the same reflection in my younger daughter who is a die-ha...

Restaurant review

Today I would like to post my review on the restaurant "Bahn Thai"at West Henderson road Columbus.  The ambiance gives a throw of Thai look. The service of the restaurant is very poor, we had to call the waiter a couple of times till he attended us and refilled our glasses with water. Many times the website timings and restaurant timings do not match, as once when I called the restaurant it was closed at 1.00 pm where as website displayed 3.00 pm as close timings.  Besides all the negative points, it attracts a lot of customers just because the food quality is absolutely amazing according to price.  "The Drunkun Noodles" and "Tom Yum Soup" are the best, while the appetizers like "Spring Rolls" were the gems in the menu which stole our heart. So overall I can say it was good but not outstanding as it looses its points over poor service and less seating arrangement. However one should give at least one try.
