A balanced diet of proteins, fat, vitamins, carbohydrates, minerals and fiber is needed for a healthy body.
Protein is needed for us to carry day to day activities. It can be received through dairy, meat, fish, eggs, and poultry.
Fats are needed to provide some energy to absorb vitamins, to protect your heart and brain. It can be achieved from nuts, olives, avocados, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, sesame seeds, fish, flaxseeds, soybeans, etc.
A diet rich in fiber keeps heart-related diseases, stroke, and diabetes. Beans and vegetables like broccoli is a natural source of fiber. Broccoli also has anti-cancer properties and is a good source of Vitamin C. Fruits like Avocados are rich in Vitamin B, K and E.  It is a rich source of fiber.
Leafy vegetables like Kale is rich in vitamin C, while Spinach is rich in iron.
Carbohydrates also provide your body with energy. It can be found in whole wheat, multigrain bread, brown rice, green beans, spinach, tomatoes, kidney beans, lentils, spinach.
Calcium is needed to keep your bones and teeth healthy. Good sources of calcium include dairy, green leafy vegetables, tofu, oatmeal, and certain fish.
One should eat 5 servings of vegetables and 2 servings of fruits every day
 Apples are an excellent source of antioxidants that control free radicals that are damaging substances that can cause undesirable changes like the aging process and some diseases.
Similarly, drinking plenty of water helps to flush toxins and waste from our body.
